Candy Description
The first great Ambassador of Chocolate in Europe was Anne of Austria, daughter of Philip of Spain and wife of Louis XIII. Maria-Theresa of Austria, daughter of Philip V of Spain married Louis XIV in 1660 and continued Anne's work. La Molina, was one of Maria-Theresa's chambermaids. Her sole responsibility being to prepare the royal chocolate.
LA MOLINA represents a new wave of Italian chocolatiers, a blend of Italian tradition and modernism.
Riccardo and Massimiliano Lunardi, brothers who grew up around their father's bakery, "Al Dolce Forno" in Quarrata, near Pisa, have taken their love of chocolate to new heights.
Many of their products use unusual flavor combinations inspired by the Tuscan food tradition: blended dark chocolate with peanuts, mint or orange and nougat with hazelnut. LA MOLINA's chocolates are of exceptional quality... pure chocolate aroma, smooth round taste, simply guilty pleasure.
The stunning packaging, designed by Riccardo Fattore, a close friend of the Lunardi Brothers, is candy for the eye.
