Kinder is of course the German word for children. Kinder Chocolate was the first Kinder product to be launched in the world, introduced in Germany over 40 years ago. Literally invented for kids, Kinder set new standards for chocolate, developing little Mini Treats bars in a "kinder" size portion. The launch of the Snack Bar format followed 20 years later, to enjoy the distinctive Kinder Chocolate taste in a format more suitable for older children. Both Kinder Chocolate Mini Treats and Snack Bars were fully introduced in the UK and Ireland in 2001. Each year they are going from strength to strength as mums become increasingly familiar with the great taste of Kinder Chocolate.
